Connecting Partners

The EndBrainCancer Initiative / Chris Elliott Fund has developed some wonderful partnerships over the years with other grass roots groups, brain tumor specialists, medical centers, and others. Here we highlight our "connecting partners" who are doing significant work in the fight against brain cancer.

Cure Connections

Receiving a cancer diagnosis is life-altering. Although every situation is unique, the emotional experience and need for guidance and support is universal. You will undoubtedly have many questions and concerns. What does my diagnosis really mean? What are my options? How will my friends and family cope?

Cure Connections recognizes the power of information and community. Their medical experts, patient guests, caregivers, and family members are available to share their insights based on their own knowledge and experiences. They share their passion to help patients and caregivers find answers to the toughest questions.

Cure Connections has developed an educational series designed to both inform and empower patients and their loved ones so that everyone involved feels more confident throughout the cancer journey.

Clinical Trials & Noteworthy Treatments For Brain Tumors
The Musella Foundation started as the first online support group dedicated to brain tumors, on Compuserve, in January 1993. A companion website was created later that year – hosted under Rand Hove’s company website. It later moved to its own domain name,, in 1996, where it became one of the premier sources of information for brain tumor information, as well as hosting many online support groups, chat rooms, newsletters, articles, and the database of clinical trials. The Musella Foundation offers a free video of brain tumor conferences and now has a large multimedia library on topics important for brain tumor patients.

Surviving Terminal Cancer

This site features a film that charts the remarkable story of Ben Williams, professor emeritus of experimental psychology at University of California, San Diego. Diagnosed in 1995 with the most lethal cancer known to medicine, a primary brain tumour called glioblastoma multiforme, he was given just a few months to live. But a natural born maverick, and rigorous scientist, Ben decided he would not go down without a fight. Nineteen years later his story is an inspiration to patients the world over, whilst his case is dismissed by the medical community as just one of a handful of statistical outliers.

WATCH to learn more about the fact that survivors of this disease are those that participate in many treatment options and advanced treatments/clinical trials very early on in their disease fight.

If we can connect you directly with Dr. Ben Williams, please let us know.
