New cell therapy, cancer killing vaccine

Scientists at Brigham and Women’s Hospital are harnessing a new way to turn cancer cells into potent, anti-cancer agents. Khalid Shah and his team of Harvard-affiliated researchers have developed a new cancer-killing vaccine. This new cell therapy can be used to treat existing tumors and prevent recurrences. They have achieved promising results when applying this treatment to a mouse model of glioblastoma.
