Today, YOU Can Provide Life-Saving Resources and Services

Brian Vance and Lyda Hawes know firsthand just how difficult the brain cancer journey can be. “Our world came undone when my husband Brian was diagnosed with Glioblastoma,” said Lyda, Brian’s wife and caregiver. “In the beginning, it’s all a blur. You don’t know what to do.”

Lyda reached out to EBCI for support. "It is hard enough to think about dealing with the illness that you have, let alone all the other options and issues around how you might augment your care, where you can get care, and how to work with providers. You need help. People who are going through this need help, and that’s what EBCI provides," said Lyda.

  • Our “Disease Education, Awareness & Outreach” Programs and our “DIRECT CONNECT” services for patients, caregivers and families, online resources, direct 1:1 Patient/Caregiver engagement and patient disease education outreach initiatives.
  • YOU also helped fund EBCI’s Advocacy and policy work for increased patient access to specialists, advanced treatments, research, devices and advanced diagnostics.

"We are grateful to have been on the receiving end of what this amazing group has to offer and hope to see their outreach grow even further to serve more of those suffering with brain cancer," said Lyda Hawes. "The work EBCI does in connecting patients with trials and treatment options can quite literally extend life spans. Having a partner like EBCI allows you to focus on caring for your loved one.”

No one should have to face this type of diagnosis alone. You can help provide much-needed support, guidance, and access to potentially life-saving treatments and resources by giving towards our goal of $20,000 dollars raised by May 8th!
